We’re extremely proud to have veterinarians who have been on our team for a long time and given us the ability to know our clients and patients on a deeper level. Take a moment to learn more about them, and contact us to schedule an appointment! We hope to see you and your pet very soon.
Kristin Wojcik, DVM
Dr. Wojcik is a 1995 graduate of Ross University and the University of Minnesota. She has been with Skycrest since 1999, and became the owner of the clinic in 2001. Dr. Wojcik fulfilled her childhood dream when she became a veterinarian. Her passion for the profession is evident by the way she nurtures her sweet patients as well as their families. You might run into Dr. Wojcik as she hikes the trails near Long Grove with her mother and friends.
Dr. Wojcik and her husband, Don, share their home with their 2 sons, Owen and Miles, their daughter Kate, their dogs Travis and Hurley, and their cat, Perry.
Stephanie Locke, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Following in the footsteps of her father, who is also a veterinarian, Dr. Locke graduated with honors from the University of Illinois. She currently lives in Lincolnshire with her husband Mike and their sons Evan and Brennan, and they all share their home with a Lab, a German Shepherd, and a Golden Retriever. Dr. Locke’s favorite pastimes include walking all the dogs and spending quality time with her family and friends. Dr. Locke enjoys being a veterinarian for many reasons, and particularly enjoys being part of the human-animal bond; a bond that to her is unique and irreplaceable.
Susan I. Wilner, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Wilner graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Before joining the Skycrest team in 2005, she worked at another animal clinic in the Chicagoland area for over 15 years. Her family is truly ILLINI orange and blue! Her son, Mike, competed for the Illini gymnastics team and graduated with his degree in computer engineering (like his dad). Mike’s wife also graduated from U of I and is a NICU nurse. Dr. Wilner’s daughter Monica graduated with degrees in graphic design and photography and is working as a graphic artist for an advertising agency. Dr. Wilner is involved with the Stevenson High School Career Center as well as local schools where she volunteers her time and enjoys mentoring students who are interested in veterinary medicine. She lives in Buffalo Grove with her husband Corey, their Golden Retriever Finlay, and Finlay’s color-coordinated kitty and best bud, Leo! Dr. Wilner and her husband are avid cyclists and enjoy spending their free time riding their tandem all over the northwest suburbs and walking with their dog Finlay for miles and miles.
Krista Shears, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Krista Shears graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After practicing in sunny Las Vegas for a year, Dr. Shears came back to her roots and joined Skycrest Animal Clinic in 2005. She lives in Libertyville with her husband Mike, their two sons, Andrew and Matthew, and two Golden Retrievers, Sally Sue and Princess Buttercup. When Dr. Shears is not taking care of her furry patients at Skycrest, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, canoeing, and spending time with family and friends.
Shonali Jethani, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Jethani graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in 2001. Prior to joining Skycrest, she worked at a veterinary clinic in Evanston for 14 years. She currently lives in Palatine with her husband, three children, their dog Niko, cat Maki, and bird, Abigail. Dr. Jethani loves the science behind being a veterinarian and the art of finding the best possible options for her patients. Her favorite pastimes include running, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
Andie Grant, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Grant joined Skycrest in 2020. She graduated with honors from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Although she loved her time in New England, she was eager to return to Chicagoland where she grew up and where her family still lives. She enjoys spending time baking with family, practicing yoga and cuddling with her French Bulldog, Cal. Dr. Grant’s favorite part about veterinary medicine is experiencing the loving relationships that clients have with their furry family members and being able to provide the care they need to live their healthiest lives.
Adrienne Mulholland, DVM, Associate Veterinarian
Adrienne came to work with her mom, Lauren, and to shadow Dr. Rader and Dr. Wojcik when she was 12 years old, and she hasn’t left since! After coming in every chance she could get, she began working as a receptionist and then moved to working as a technician. In 2021, Adrienne graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and is now Dr. Mulholland! Adrienne comes to Skycrest to see patients when she is not working as an emergency veterinarian. She has a passion for rescue, especially for senior pets, and shares her home with a variety of rescued animals.
