Improving Health and Hygiene with Pet Grooming

Good hygiene contributes to better health, and this is especially true for our beloved pets. At Skycrest Animal Clinic, our two groomers, Diane and Lauren, can give your pet a luxurious, refreshing bath and haircut whenever they need it to keep them looking and feeling like their best selves. Poor hygiene can affect your pet’s well-being in various ways, from making them physically uncomfortable to leaving them vulnerable to bacterial infections and parasites. Cleaner is healthier, and we can improve your pet’s quality of life with our pet grooming services.

How Grooming Can Improve Your Pet’s Health

The most important benefit of pet grooming is that it washes away accumulated dirt, oil, dead skin cells, and hair, allowing the skin to breathe. Bathing also helps in the treatment of parasites, bacterial infections, fungal infections, and even skin allergies. Your pet will have a shinier, softer coat that does a better job of keeping them warm when it’s cold, and keeping them cool when it’s warm.

Additionally, nail trims keep your pet’s feet in good shape, preventing poor posture and the risk of fungal infections of the nails.
